is there a lesson in here...somewhere???
i am presently involved in a bible study on monday morning where we have been studying the book of judges. we are presently in the midst of the story of samson. have you ever thought about samson and his life? i recommend it, but i will warn you up front. as you do, you will probably struggle with a number of inconsistencies. now, i’m not trying to demean the bible record, or suggest it...
why would god allow such a thing?
hi out there. spent some time in the book of job in recent days. gonna wrap up our series on the biggest losers, by looking at his 3 friends who had a chance to come alongside job in an incredibly painful moment, and completely failed. what’s worse is, not only did they offer no comfort, they actually piled on with judgementalism making the situation even worse. even if they had been...
something's been bugging me lately

anybody out there think this is a good idea???
consider this another wrinkle to yesterdays blog. as i reviewed the news of the day, i was amused by how many people are calling for an end to the israeli blockade of gaza. without going into all the details, practically this is what that would mean. iran is busy pursuing nuclear weapons, last report i read was they have enough nuclear material to build 2 bombs and could do so within 1-2...
international outrage...again...yawn
is anyone else out there puzzled by the international outrage over the incident between israel and the international aid ships trying to run their blockade??? i know 10 people died, but lets compare this outrage to another recent maritime event…when north korea torpedoed a south korean ship killing 46 sailors. does anyone remember any outrage? i don’t, did i miss something? do you...
